Access to Yalku Lagoon

Yalku Lagoon was featured in The National Geographic magazine some years ago. It is a fabulous snorkeling destination and easily accessible. It has been compared to swimming in an exotic fish aquarium. Water enters the lagoon from a fresh water cenote on the west side and the salt water from the Caribbean Sea enters from the east. The confluence of the waters creates a natural feeding area and attracts large numbers and varieties of fish.
