North Akumal adjoins Akumal Centro to the north and continues through Yalku Lagoon. This section is a quiet residential area with private residences and only one condo building. It is mostly a rock shoreline which gives stunning views of the Caribbean Sea. The sound of the waves breaking on the shore is pure tropical delight.
It's an easy walk or bike ride to Akumal Centro and all of the amenities found there. There's not much vehicle traffic so golf carts are popular as is jogging and strolling. Quiet, safe and beautiful, it is typical of Akumal neighborhoods.
